This collection of contemporary jewellery and small sculptures explores the dynamic form and the veiled yet vivid colours hidden beneath the ocean. The oceanic forms marry with the meditative and process driven fold forming methods. Emulating the serene yet energetic experience of scuba diving. Throughout I use traditional silversmith and fold forming techniques, a raw way of handling metal and combine these with various mixed medias such as latex, resin and lacquers to create an unusual and aesthetically pleasing collection. These pieces trigger a sense of fun and playfulness in both the wearer and viewer. They ignite a sense of curiosity and probe the forms, decay, visual textures and hidden colours that can be seen in the depths of the oceans when you go looking for them.
